Secret Sister Guidelines
Ideas for encouragement
Anything from the heart! Review her Favorite Things sheet to learn what she likes. Remember to keep the gifts small. It’s not about the material things, but a way to show love toward your Sister in Christ.
How to deliver items to her (secretly)
- Pray for your Secret Sister.
- Encourage your Sister by sending cards, notes, or leaving a small gift as often as you want, preferably once a month! We will have the reveal next summer!
- Keep her a secret! Don’t let her know who you are and don’t tell anyone else who she is.

- Wrap her favorite candy bar in a note that says she’s sweet.
- Give her a cutting from one of your own houseplants to start a new plant in her home.
- Gather a few of her favorite flowers and tie with a ribbon in her favorite color.
- Remember your Secret Sister on her birthday and during the holiday season.
How to deliver items to her (secretly)
- One option is to bring cards or gifts to church and leave them in her church mailbox downstairs in the church. Tip: To further ensure secrecy, you could also have someone else drop it off for you!
- You can send cards and small items directly to her through the mail. Try to disguise your handwriting, use alphabet stickers, or use someone else’s handwriting! Tip: Use the church address as your return address:
